Grounded and Engaged Theory Lab
When normative theorizing is centered on concrete, real-world, contexts, it can better illuminate and support communities’ struggles for social justice.
The Grounded and Engaged Theory Lab at the University of Guelph encourages the use of empirical research methodologies and socially-engaged studies to help ground normative theorizing in people’s lived experiences.
The lab is directed by Dr. Monique Deveaux and Dr. Candace Johnson and members of the lab include graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
